About Us
The Esan Community of Manchester (ECM) is a dynamic and inclusive association of the people of the Esan heritage, united by a shared commitment to common cultural identity, values and the promotion of peace, love and unity among the Esan people in the United Kingdom and across the globe while engendering peaceful co-existence in our immediate community of Manchester and its environs where we live and work.
We are dedicated to strengthening social harmony, preserving our rich cultural identity, and the fostering of relationship and connections among our members and the wider community. Through collaboration, engagement and service, ECM provides a supportive environment where Esan traditions and culture are celebrated and the future generations inspired
Our work encompasses a wide range of socio-cultural initiatives and programmes; including symposia, lectures, seminars, and community events. These programmes are designed to educate, inform and bring people together while nurturing cultural pride, social cohesion, discipline and mutual respect – particularly among the young people. In doing so, we empower them to grow into confident, responsible and law-abiding individuals.
Through our work we engender social harmony by the championing of social programmes and the supporting of social causes in our community thereby improving the quality of life and the flourishing of our people and the wider community.
