In 2022, the Esan Community of Manchester (ECM) demonstrated its unwavering commitment to education and social welfare by providing a NGN 2.8 million grant to support students across 70 secondary schools in Esanland, Nigeria. This generous initiative aimed to alleviate the financial burden faced by many families, ensuring that indigent students could access essential educational opportunities.

The grant provided NGN 20,000 each to two deserving students in every school across the local government areas in Esanland. These funds were specifically allocated to cover the costs of registering for the 2023 May/June WAEC SSCE examination, a critical milestone for students aiming to pursue higher education or career opportunities.

By addressing this financial barrier, ECM empowered 140 students to take an important step toward building a brighter future.

This impactful project reflects ECM’s core mission to uplift the Esan community through education and support for the less privileged. By investing in the academic success of these students, ECM not only reinforces the value of education within the community but also lays a foundation for long-term development in Esanland. The organization remains dedicated to initiatives that bridge gaps in opportunity, ensuring that no child is left behind due to financial hardship.
