Our Mission and Vision
At ECM, our mission is to support the welfare of our members, promote our cultural values, and empower every family to thrive in an ever-changing world. We focus on education, leadership, mental health, and community solidarity, ensuring that every member — young and old — finds belonging, opportunity, and purpose within our circle.

Key Community Activities
Monthly Men’s Meetings and Training
We believe that empowered men create empowered families. Our men’s sessions cover vital topics such as leadership, financial management, mental well-being, and fatherhood. These gatherings provide a trusted forum to share ideas, find solutions to daily challenges, and grow stronger together.

Monthly Youth Symposia and Capacity Building
Our youth are the heartbeat of our community and the hope of our future. Each month, we bring our young people together to engage in meaningful activities that strengthen their Esan identity and connect them deeply to our vibrant heritage. Through leadership workshops, cultural education, career talks, mentorship, and personal development sessions, we equip our children and youth with the confidence, skills, and sense of belonging they need to thrive in today’s world while proudly carrying forward the legacy of our Esan people.

Biennial Family Day Celebrations
Every two years, we host a grand Family Day — a day dedicated to celebrating unity, togetherness, and the family values we hold dear. Families gather to enjoy games, cultural displays, food, music, and storytelling that connect generations and strengthen the bonds that keep our community close-knit.

Biennial Cultural Festivals
In alternate years, we proudly organise our Cultural Festival — a spectacular showcase of Esan dance, music, food, fashion, and traditional practices. This festival not only reconnects us with our roots but also opens our culture to friends and neighbours from other backgrounds, fostering understanding and appreciation.

Annual Couples’ Well-being Retreat
We understand the importance of strong, healthy relationships at the heart of every family. Once a year, we host a dedicated couples’ retreat, giving husbands and wives an opportunity to relax, communicate deeply, and renew their commitment to each other. Workshops on communication, conflict resolution, and emotional wellness help couples navigate life’s journey together.

Yearly Summer Family Events
To ensure that no family feels left out during the summer break, especially those unable to travel abroad, we organise fun-filled local outings and activities. These create treasured memories for children and parents alike, strengthening family unity and providing children with enriching experiences during the holidays.

My Commitment as Your President
As your President, I feel truly honoured to lead this great community. My vision is to lead with strategy, compassion, and unity — anchoring our children in our rich Esan culture and values so that they grow up with a strong sense of identity and pride in their roots.

I am committed to making ECM a place where everyone feels heard, valued, and cared for. Together, we will uphold our traditions, support each other through life’s challenges, and inspire the next generation to carry our Esan legacy forward with dignity and confidence.
