Mr. Chris Ogbekhiulu
President

Mr Chris Ogbekhiulu is a Senior Finance Manager in the NHS. He holds master’s degrees in Health Data Science (University of Manchester) and Health Economics & Policy (University of Birmingham) and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England & Wales. His professional areas of interest are in healthcare management, healthcare analytics and health policy evaluation.

Mr Ogbekhiulu loves football sport and is thrilled by the spontaneous decision-making process in the field of play and strategy readjustment in response to the strategy of the opponent! He also loves the Esan acrobatic dance which shows the agility of the mind of an Esan man, his physicality and 'I can' spirit that propels him!

It is an honour to lead the Esan Community of Manchester (ECM) at this particular time as we aim to strengthen the Association, position it and organise programmes to empower and positively influence the Esan people and initiate social programmes that would be beneficial to our Manchester locality at large. He looks forward to a fruitful tenure!

Mr. Simon Azeta
Vice President

Engr Simon Azeta (aka Dlaw) is the CEO of the Dlaw Computers and Security Systems in Manchester UK. Mr. Azeta graduated from the Frankfurt Technische Schule, Germany specialising in Electrical Engineering. His company provides computer services, security CCTV installation, GSM alarm systems, remote networking and hydro solar panel power systems. Mr Azeta hails from Okaigben, Ewohimi and speaks English, German and Esan languages.

Mr. Azeta is passionate about the togetherness and unity of the Esan people both home and abroad. He is keen on collaborating with other Esan people to create awareness about the vibrant cultural heritage and values amongst the Esan people.

Mr. Azeta loves football and table tennis, traveling, learning new languages, dancing Esan acrobatic dance and meeting people.

Mr. Uxtin-Chase Abhulimen
General Secretary

Mr Chase Abhulimen is a Data Analyst and works for the English Civil Service. He holds a Computer Science Degree and is a graduate of AWS Re/Start Programme in Cloud Engineering. He is also a professional filmmaker and a video compositor who has made and premiered two movies to his credit in The Netherlands.

He is passionate about promoting professional equality among youths and the less privileged in the community. He is a member of Diaspora Film Makers Association and Sierra Leone Film Makers Association (both in The Netherlands).

Mr. Joe Itua
Public Relations Officer

Mr Joe Itua is a Managing Director at Family Financial Centre LTD - an accountancy and business consultancy firm in the UK and sits in the board of two other UK companies. He is also a School Governor in two local schools in Greater Manchester - UK. He is currently in his second 2-year tenure as the PRO of the Association. His academic background is in business, accountancy and finance and has so many years of experience working in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He is also a professional Master of Ceremony. He is a qualified accountant and also holds a master's degree in Financial Planning and Wealth Management.

Mr Itua is a proud Esan man and passionate about promoting the rich Esan cultural heritage and values. He is very happy to have found and be working with other like-minded Esan brothers and sisters to provide a platform to empower, educate and unite the Esan people in his locality in particular and globally in general.

He hails from Ewossa in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, and has lived in the Manchester area of the UK for over 20 years. Esan Oyee!!!.

Mr. Ralph Davis
Financial Secretary

Mr Ralph Davis is a Freelance Business Intelligence Consultant and has consulted for the NHS, Department for Education, Civil Service and Energy Sector since 2001. Mr Davis holds a master’s degree in Applied Computing. He was elected the Financial Secretary in 2018 and was re-elected in 2021.


Mr Davis has previously held a variety of non-executive positions of a number of charities including as a board of trustee of Idumuselu Community Development Association, Edo State of Nigeria - a non-profit organisation responsible for promoting peace among the communities’ diverse residents. He has also served as a Foundation Governor at St Anne’s Roman Catholic Primary School, Manchester for 7 years as a member in Finance and Staffing committees. One of my responsibilities was to ensure that the school maintained its Catholic distinctiveness. I also assisted in bringing the primary school out of Special Measures and helped to provide opportunities for all the children to achieve their best by going to the school to read for them.

In his leisure and pleasure time he enjoys cooking, gardening, supporting his kids with football and computer programming.

I am very pleased to be able to continue my long association with the Esan Community of Manchester.

Mr. Clement Ebhote
Assistant General Secretary

Mr Clement Ebhote is an enterpreneura and currently the CEO of RHECLEM NIG LTD, a servicing company in the agricultural sector.

After his tertiary Education in Nigeria in the 90s, Mr Ebhote moved to Euroupe for even more greener pastures. He currently works in the health and social care sector in the UK.

Mr. Ebhote is passionate about building strong brotherly relationships among the Esan sons and daughters in the diaspora. He is keen to see the Esan people in the diaspora working together for the development of Esanland. He is a strong advocate of passing the Esan culture, values and the Esan language to the younger generation.

Mr Ebhote hails from Oghagbo, Opoji.

Mr. Thomas Ojika
Welfare Officer

Mr. Thomas Ojika trained as a technician and has gained significant experience in industrial plants and power generators. Mr. Ojika is passionate about the Esan culture and values and cares a lot about the welfare of his fellow community members even before he was elected into the office.

He likes Esan dances especially Asonogun and acrobatic dances.

Mr. Frank Okhuakhua
Provost

Mr Frank Okhuakhua works in the NHS. Mr Okhuakhua extols the care and compassion values of NHS England. Mr Okhuakhua has developed passion for population health and is keen on transiting into the clinical profession.

Mr Okhuakhua hails from Inuwazi, Uromi. He was born and bred in Benin City and therefore among the lucky ones that were taught by their parents how to speak Esan language. Mr Okhuakhua is passionate about serving the Esan Community of Manchester to promote the Esan culture and values among the Esan people in Manchester most especially among our people and young ones born outside of the Esanland as him. Mr Okhuakhua is keen on jumping on programmes that help the young ones born outside of Esan to learn how to speak Esan language.
